decoder per loco DCCDecoder DCC for locos

This decoder has been developed for educational purposes.
The characteristics of the decoder are:
            • compatibility with NMRA-DCC standards
            • masimun driving current 500ma
            • DCC address 68
            • speed steps 14

Constructions
Il  The circuit will be assembled on a little piece of board. Some components can be mounted under the PIC and the rectifier  bridge.
The characteristics of the components:
  • the rectifier bridge is 100V 1A
  • the resistor value are expressed in ohm and are 1/8w 5%.
  • the capacitor values are expressed in farad. The voltages are 16 volt for polarized and 63 volt for ceramics.
  • the rails must be linked to J1 connector
  • the motor must be connected to J2 connector
PIC programming
The firmware of the PIC is based on the work of Heiko Schroeter and Dean Probst. The version of the file is 0 Alpha 2. In the zip below you will find: the source, the programming file and a file of stimuli that I used for the simulation via the development environment MPLAB 8.46.
